Joe Chiarello
Co Director of XCamp
A certified diver since 1987, PADE Certified Dive Instructor in 1992 and HSA Certified Instructor in 1995. Joe is a 30 year surfing veteran with surf travel experience in Hawaii and California, diving, fishing, and kayaking expertise, and is currently employed by the M.O.E.S.C. and teaches Adventure Education and Social Skills to Special Needs and at risk students. Joe is also the district wide crisis prevention specialist and has also done facilitator training and inspections on high ropes courses for M.O.E.S.C. and Starlight manufacturing for the past 10 years.
Joe Humenik
Camp Instructor
A certified Water Safety Instructor, fully certified in CPR/AED, Lifeguarding, First Aid, and Lifesaving. Joe is a 20 year local surfing veteran who has traveled and surfed world-class breaks in Costa Rica and Puerto Rico as well as worked within the surf industry for over 15 years. Joe is a Social Studies teacher, Head Boys Soccer Coach at Lacey Twp. High School and a private swimming instructor for all ages.
Dustin Henry
Camp Instructor
A certified instructor of CPR/AED. Dustin is an 11 year local surfing talent, sponsored by Reef, Dragon, and Right Coast Surf Shop. A product of the XCamp experience, Dustin is currently a student at Flagler College and is also a member of the College Surf Team, having received numerous ESA and NSSA honors, and coverage in various media outlets.
